What factors affect the rate of a chemical reaction? NaS O + 2HCl 2NaCl + H O + SO + S I will be trying to find out how concentration affects the reaction between thiosulphate and hydrochloric acid. Prediction: I think that if the amount of thiosulphate is increased and the amount of water is decreased then the reaction will take less time because the collision theory states that if the concentration is increased, the number of particles in the will also increase, therefore the chance of successful collisions is increased and this speeds up the rate of the reaction. Equipment: * 10ml and 100ml measuring cylinder * Beaker x 2 * Thiosulphate solution * Hydrochloric acid * Water * Stopwatch * Paper * Pen * Flask Method: 1) Firstly, I will fill 1 beaker with thiosulphate solution and the other with hydrochloric acid. 2) Then, I shall mark a large cross in the centre of the paper using the pen. 3) Next, I need to measure out...
