What affects the rate of reaction when catalyse is mixed with hydrogen peroxide - Plan. Introduction In this experiment I am going to see how the concentration of hydrogen peroxide affects the rate of reaction when hydrochloric acid is mixed with the enzyme catalyse. I am going to use celery as my source of catalyse. Apparatus * Trough for a water bath * Delivery tube * Bung * Test tube * Celery * Measuring cylinder * Hydrogen peroxide * Clamp stand Method For the experiment I am going to fill the trough with water and put 4cm3 of hydrogen peroxide(100%) in a test tube and fit the delivery tube on the end of it using a bung. The test tube will be held using a clamp stand. The end of the delivery tube will be lowered carefully into the water trough with the end of it vertical facing above the water.
