12th Feb 2003 Wednesday Faderera Adeniyi GCSE: Science Chemistry Coursework What affects the rate of reaction between dilute hydrochloric acid and sodium thiosulphate solution The aim of this experiment is to determine what affects the rate at which a reaction occurs between sodium thiosulphate and hydrochloric acid. I intend to find out whether (and to what degree) varying the concentration of sodium thiosulphate has any effect on the rate of reaction between these chemicals. I believe that these variables are linked, and that the concentration of sodium thiosulphate has a direct effect on the rate at which the reaction between the sodium thiosulphate and hydrochloric acid. Planning: I have decided to investigate what affects the rate of reaction between dilute hydrochloric acid and sodium thoisulphate solution. I want to see how long it takes for the cross on the paper disappears when hydrochloric acid and sodium thiosulphate are reacting....
