Planning We are going to do an experiment on reaction time. The stimuli would be the ruler being dropped. What I am going to do is, using a blindfold, cover my partners eyes, then, with a ruler, at a relevant measurement, drop the ruler through my partners hand. What we will be looking for is the greater the distance the ruler goes through the hand because that will determine how slow the reaction time is. For a fair test, we will measure 5cm above the hand and measure in centimetres how far up the ruler the index finger is. I think it is difficult to predict what will happen on this particular experiment but at the same time, I think that the reaction time will be faster with eyes open because light travels faster than sound through this process: Ruler moving Eyes detect Optic nerve Brain Motor nerve cell Hand muscles Response grabs...
