1. Aim: To investigate the effect of concentration on the reaction between Mg and HCl 2. Plan of my experiment: The key factor that I plan to investigate is the rate of reaction when you increase the concentration of hydrochloric acid and react it with magnesium. My investigation determines whether different concentrations of acid, ranging form 0.5 molar acid to 3.0 molar acid, affect the rate of reaction, for example if increasing the concentration will speed up the rate of reaction. During this investigation I am testing the rate of reaction by increasing the concentration of acid. I will make it a fair test by ensuring that the mass of the magnesium stays the same throughout and the volume of hydrochloric acid the same for every test. All the equipment, which I use, will also be kept at room temperature so it will not affect my investigation. After...
