Aim To compare the respiratory rate of fish and frog Material Frog Fish Stop watch Counter Dissecting pan Dissecting instruments Microscope Method Each fish and frog was put into beaker, and allowed them to suitable for the environment for a few minutes. After they are stable, the respiratory rate was counted. Two fish and two frogs were selected for the counting. The respiratory rate was counted for 5 minutes for fish one then 5 minutes for fish two. After counting for fish two, then go back to fish one and the counting was continues for another 5 minutes follow by fish two. The same method was applied to the frog. The counted respiratory rate was recorded down. After counting was done for fish and also frog, the dissecting was one to observe the respiratory organ. For fish, the opercular was removed fro it and the gill was separated from the fish body and put into the Petri dish....
