GCSE Chemistry Coursework 1. Title of Investigation This experiment's title is: "investigate how the concentration of Sodium Thiosulphate affects the rate of reaction between Sodium Thiosulphate and Hydrochloric Acid". 2. Background to Investigation * Whilst performing an experiment where some Sodium Thiosulphate (Na2S203) and Hydrochloric Acid (HCl) were mixed together, it was noticed that, they reacted together to form a cloudy solution. * Hence, we decided to investigate how the concentration of the Sodium Thiosulphate affects the rate of the reaction between Sodium Thiosulphate and Hydrochloric Acid. - When the two chemicals are combined the mixture gradually turning cloudy will make the "x" disappear. 3. Planning 3.1 Safety Whilst performing this experiment there are a number of safety procedures which must be adhered to: * Safety goggles must be worn, as Hydrochloric acid is extremely corrosive. * All schoolbags etc. should be out of the way, so nobody trips over them. * Blazers should be removed and...
