Daniel Kelly 11.MGO Thiosulphate Experiment In this practical experiment I will be testing if the concentration of Thiosulphate affects the rate of reaction when combined with water and hydrochloric acid. The result of this formula should produce turbidity within the liquid. I will be measuring the time taken for the mixture to react as the volume of Thiosulphate gets less and the water volume is increased. To keep the test fair the amount acid will stay at the same amount through all of the experiment. We will be testing how long it takes for the Thiosulphate to react by sliding a piece of paper marked with an 'X' under the conical flask, when the liquid has reacted enough to the point where we the 'X' can no longer been seen, that is when the stopwatch will be stopped. This experiment will help prove the collision theory. When there is significantly more...
