The effect of concentration of acid on the rate of reaction between nitric acid and marble chips. Introduction Aim: the aim of my experiment was discover how much, if any the effect is of the concentration of acid on the rate of reaction for the reaction between nitric acid and marble chips. I am looking into this to solve the problem that I have been set, which is to find out what the effect of acid rain is on limestone and if the acidity is increased, does the rate at which it reacts increase also, and if so by how much. Prediction: my prediction is that the higher the concentration of acid the faster the rate of reaction as well as the more CO2 produced, I predict this because of my previous scientific knowledge as well as the results of my preliminary experiment. My Previous Scientific Knowledge: I know that according to particle theory,...
