The chemical which is created by the haber process is ammonia. The nitrogen and hydrogen molecules collide and react with each other to help the reaction. The two elements used to make ammonia are nitrogen and hydrogen. Nitrogen + Hydrogen --> Ammonia 72% of the Nitrogen and Hydrogen does not react so it is recycled. Haber had the gases, nitrogen, and hydrogen at a high pressure so that they would be squashed together so the molecules would collide more often. Haber also used a catalyst (a catalyst is a chemical that helps a chemical reaction go faster, without actually being chemically changed) to hold the reactants together more closely long enough for the reaction to occur in the converter. The catalyst in the Haber process is a powered iron. In the Haber process the pump, pumps the hydrogen and nitrogen into the reactor. The reactor then makes ammonia from the two elements.
