GCSE Chemistry Investigation Aim: The aim of this investigation is to look at the effect of varying concentration on the reaction between Zinc and Hydrochloric Acid. Factors I will be investigating: * I will be investigating the rate of reaction by varying acid concentration * I will also be investigating the effect of varying concentration on metal-acid reactions. Prior Knowledge to investigation: This section of the planning is what I already know prior to the investigation, so I know what factors must be taken into account: * I know that some metals react with acids to produce hydrogen gas, and due to its explosive nature, safety procedures will have to be taken into account such as safety goggles. * We are doing the experiment with Iron, which from my knowledge I know is a low to moderately reactive metal, which is reasonably safe, so the reaction with the Hydrochloric acid isn't too vigorous. * From recent knowledge I know...
