Experiment on the decomposition of hydrogen Peroxide Aim The aim of this experiment is to see what determines the speed of the decomposition of hydrogen when there is an enzyme and also how the concentration of the rate of decomposition. Prediction I believe that when you add more enzyme the rate of decomposition will increase because, the enzyme acts as a natural catalyst therefore it will speed up the rate of reaction which is the rate of decomposition. Hypothesis First of all we got 1ml grams concentrated solution and mixed it with 10ml H202 and 0ml of H20, we tried to find the rate of decomposition (rate of reaction) by mixing the three in a tube and then, either counting the bubbles or measuring the volume decomposed in the space of 5 minutes.
