Wendy Croft 12NB The affect of temperature on the activity of the enzyme Trypsin. In this experiment I will be using the enzyme Trypsin, to break down Casein, the protein found in milk, into polypeptides. I will be investigating whether or not the temperature has an affect on the rate of the reaction between Trypsin and casein. I have already performed preliminary tests for this experiment. During those tests I experimented with different volumes and concentrations of Trypsin and Casein. By doing this I found out which were suitable volumes and concentrations to use. The variable that I will be changing in this experiment will be the temperature. The different temperatures I will be using are 20 C, 30 C, 40 C, 50 C, 60 C, 70 C and 80 C.
