The affect of HCL on CaC03 In my investigation, the one thing that I shall change by equal amount each time is the concentration of Hydrochloric acid. In my investigation, the thing I shall measure (that is affected by the change) is the time it takes to collect a certain amount of gas. To make the investigation a fair test, here is a list of things that I'm going to keep the same: o Same mass of marble chips ~ mass being: 0.2g o The surface area of the marble chips o I will collect the same amount of gas o I will use the same amount of acid (not the same concentration) Apparatus - here is a list of everything I shall need to do my investigation: o Two clamp stands o Measuring cylinder o Beehive o Conical flask o Rubber glass tubing o 0.2, 0.5, 1, 1.5 and 2 m acid o Marble chips My prediction - what I think...
