The Effect of the Concentration of Sodium Thiosulphate on Hydrochloric Acid The objective of this experiment is to see the effect of concentration on rates of reaction. ( aq) (aq) (s) (aq) (g) (l) 2HCl + Na S O --> S + 2Na Cl + SO + H O hydrochloric sodium sodium sodium sulphur water acid thiosulphate chloride dioxide In the experiment we will do at least 7 different variations. The variable in this experiment is the concentration. Each of the 7 variations we do in the experiment it will have a different concentration of sodium thiosulphate. We will do each variation twice to verify our results. But if there is an anomaly we will do the test again to see if it was a one off result, perhaps caused by an error in measuring the chemicals or if it was an accurate result.
