Gary McMahon S2B Introduction The problem that I am going to investigate is factors affecting the rate of reaction between Sodium Thiosulphate and hydrochloric acid. Sodium Thiosulphate has the chemical formula Na2S2O3 and hydrochloric acid has the formula HCl. There are many factors that could possibly affect the rate of reaction. These are shown below: * Concentration of HCl * Concentration of Na2S2O3 * Temperature * Using a Catalyst * Changing the Surface Area Method I am going to investigate only one of these factors. I have chosen to look at the factor of concentration of Sodium thiosulphate. The reason why I chose to look at this factor is because I could not look at surface area as there are no solids involved in the experiment, there is only solutions which are liquids. The concentration can be measured accurately and stays the same before the start of the experiment. It is also practical as the experiment can be carried...
