Reaction The word equation for the reaction is: The symbol equation for the reaction is: Na2S2O3 + 2HCL ->2NaCl + SO2 + S + H2O Method 1) Put a cross on a piece of paper and place the paper on a desk 2) Put 50cm³ of the chosen concentration of Sodium Thiosulphate into a conical flask 3) Add 5cm³ of Hydrochloric Acid 4) Time how long the cross takes to disappear 5) Repeat each experiment 3 times to obtain an average 6) Try different concentrations of Sodium Thiosulphate Background Knowledge A factor that affects the rate of the reaction that I am going to be measuring between Sodium Thiosulphate and Hydrochloric Acid is concentration.
