Investigating how temperature affects the rate of reaction between sodium thiosulphate and hydrochloric acid. Prediction I am investigating the rate of reaction between sodium thiosulphate and hydrochloric acid. I predict that the more the temperature rises the faster the solution will react. It will react faster because the particles will gain more energy and collide more with other atoms and will cause a chemical reaction that will cause the solution to turn a creamy colour. At low temperatures particles of reacting substances do not have much energy. However when the substances are heated, the particles take in energy from the heat. This causes them to move faster and collide more often. The collisions have more energy so the collisions are more successful. Therefore the rate of reaction increases. Hydrochloric acid atom Sodium thiosulphate atom Direction of atom " Collision Method For this experiment I will first collect all my apparatus and set...
