Investigating how mixing sodium thiosulphate with HCL will react and what variables affect the rate of reaction Plan I plan to mix 50cm³ of HCL with 50cm³ of distilled water then stir the solution for 10 seconds. Then leave the solution for 20 second to settle before I add my variable sodium thiosulphate. First I will add 2.0g of sodium thiosulphate and time it using a fair stopwatch from after the 2.0g was added until the cross under the solution becomes cloudy and hard to see. I will also take the temperature of the solution after I have finished taking the time. I will then repeat this method in order to get two results for each one to find a average. I will repeat the experiment exactly only changing the amount of my variable sodium thiosulphate. I will do two using 0.5g of sodium thiosulphate and then repeat for 1.5g, 2.0g...
