Investigating how changing the temperature of sodium thiosulphate affects its reaction with hydrochloric acid. Aim: The aim of my experiment is to investigate the effect that temperature has on the reaction between sodium thiosulphate and hydrochloric acid. I will do this by changing the temperature and timing how long the reaction will take to get to 1 lux. Prediction: I predict that when I increase the temperature of the sodium thiosulphate the time in which the reaction will take place will be much faster. I assume this because when particles are heated they get more energy so they move much quicker and then the reaction will be much faster. As the temperature rises so does the energy in the Sodium Thiosulphate particles, so they move faster and even more. Symbol equation for reaction: Sodium + Hydrochloric ? sodium + sulphur + sulphur + water Thiosulphate acid chloride dioxide Na 2 S 2 O 3 (aq) + 2HCl...
