Science Investigation Planning Sheet 1 2 3 4 S&G Name: Abdul Rahman Form: 11S Group: 11Y1 Title of Investigation: Investigating how changing the temperature affects the rate of evaporation Description of the Investigation: We are going to investigate how changing the temperature affects the rate of evaporation of 0.5cm³ of liquid acetone. We will place the acetone on a watch glass, over a beaker of 250ml of water. We will heat the water to the temperature required and then put the watch glass over the beaker when required. Then we will time how long it takes for the Acetone to fully evaporate 1. Planning: Factors that could be changed: The factors that could be changed, that are relevant to this investigation are * The volume of Acetone * The volume of water * The stop-clock starting point * The temperature of the water In my investigation I will: Change Keep the same The temperature of water The volume of Acetone The volume of water The stop-clock starting point Prediction From my prior scientific knowledge,...
