The factors that could be researched are volume of yeast solution used, the amount of sugar used for the yeast to react with, or temperature to see if it controls the rate in which the yeast reacts. I am going to investigate whether temperature affects the reaction rate of yeast, and to find out if an increase in temperature results in an increase in speed in the reaction. The reason I am going to investigate temperature, and not any of the other possible factors is because temperature will be the most reliable and should give the clearest results. The volume experiment needs to be timed accurately, and this is often difficult when doing so in groups. The sugar concentration is also quite unreliable because it needs to be constantly monitored, and kept at a constant rate, if not the yeast will be reacting at different rates, and this would not be a...
