Planning In this assignment my aim is to investigate the effect of a factor in a basic reaction, this factor could be temperature, concentration, adding a catalyst, size of particle and surface area. I chose to investigate how the concentration of the acid effects the time taken to the metal to completely dissolve. Prediction Looking backwards at older results of the same kind of experiment I can see the following facts: * Average time that took the magnesium strip to disappear in a 2.0 mole solution is 25.09 seconds. * Average time that took the magnesium strip to disappear in a 1.5 mole solution is 36 seconds. * Average time that took the magnesium strip to disappear in a 1.0 mole solution is 1 minute 23 seconds. * Average time that took the magnesium strip to disappear in a 0.5 mole solution is 9 minutes 41 seconds. * Average time that took the magnesium strip to disappear in
