Aim The aim of this investigation is to investigate how the concentration affects the reaction between hydrochloric acid and Calcium Carbonate. Hypothesis I predict that the higher the concentration of the solution, the higher the reaction rate will be. I scientifically predict this because the higher the concentration of acid, the more frequent the collisions are because there are more molecules to collide with each other. For example; Low Concentration High Concentration As you can see there are a lot more particles in the high concentration, which results in more frequent collisions because of the fact they do not have as much room to move around the container as the molecules in a low concentration of acid.
