Background Information To investigate how concentration affects the rate of reaction we will be reacting calcium carbonate and hydrochloric acid. To make this a fair test we will have to keep all variables the same except the one we are investigating. The products of the reaction between calcium carbonate and hydrochloric acid are calcium chloride and carbon dioxide. To measure the rate of reaction we will be measuring the volume of carbon dioxide produced. What am I going to do? In this section I will be planning an experiment to show the product of Calcium Carbonate and Hydrochloric Acid. This section will include, detailed scientific reasons to explain why I think my plan is a suitable way to carrying out the investigation, explanations on how to use the equipment properly and how this will lead to precise results, a prediction and references to any previous work or information that has...
