SCIENCE CORSEWORK Aim: to investigate a factor that affects the rate of a chemical reaction Scientific factors on rates of reaction: For chemical reaction need to occur, reactants must collide: * Increasing the temperature of the reactants by heating or warming it will increase the rate of reaction. Meaning the higher the temperature the faster the reactants will collide and when molecules collides faster the reaction take place much faster. * Increasing the concentration of the reactants increases the rate of reaction. This is because there is more particle of the reactant in the same volume so the particle collisions are much faster. * Breaking up the solids into smaller pieces increases rate of reaction because the surface area of the solid has increase.
