Chemistry Coursework Aim In my investigation I am going to investigate the link between concentration and rates of reaction. The other things that affect the rate of reaction are temperature, surface area and the use of catalysts. However I could not try to do my experiment with these variables because the chemicals I am using are liquid which therefore means I am unable to vary the surface area, temperature would vary slightly therefore it would be unlikely I would get very accurate results and catalysts are too expensive to use. However I can vary the concentration accurately so I have chosen to do my experiment with different levels of concentration in the sodium thiosulphate. Scientific Background The more sodium thiosulphate particles there are in the solution the greater chance there is that they will successfully collide with the hydrochloric acid particles causing a reaction in a quicker time. If there are less sodium thiosulphate...
