Chemistry Coursework Draft Planning I will be carrying out an investigation into how the concentration of sodium thiosulphate will effect the rate of reaction as represented by the following equation: Na[2]S[2]O[3 ](aq) + 2HCL (aq) à2NaCl (aq) + H[2]O (l) + SO[2 (g) + ]S (s) Prediction I predict that as the concentration of the sodium thiosulphate increases the rate of reaction will increase. This means that both graphs drawn up in my analysis will have positive correlation, and will probably be curved since the increase in rate of reaction will not be exactly the same as the concentration/temperature is increased. This can be justified by relating to the collision theory. If solutions (the sodium thiosulphate) of reacting particles are made more concentrated there are more particles per unit volume. Therefore, collisions between reacting particles are more likely to occur, and so I predict the reaction to occur at...
