Scientific information For the experiment we were performing there was 3 possible methods which could have been used. Inverted Measuring Cylinder Advantages : A very accurate volume of how much gas has been released can be measured. Disadvantages : It is very hard for a cylinder to be placed like this with the amount of water required in it. Gas syringe This is the best method available. Advantages : Accurate volume can also be recorded, there is a frictionless movement of the plunger meaning no resistance is added to the amount of gas needed to move the plunger. Disadvantages : this method is very expensive as the syringe is made out of glass, the syringe has to be read accurately every 5 or 10...
