Chemistry Coursework Hayley Fairhurst 11R How does the rate of reaction vary with the concentration? Planning There are lots of variables that could affect my investigation for example the concentration, the surface area and the temperature. In my investigation I am going to change the variable of the concentration. To see how the concentration affects my investigation I am going to measure the amount of gas produced every minute. I think that the higher the concentration is, the faster the reaction will be. I think this will happen because increasing the concentration of a reactant simply means there are more particles, which may collide and so react. More collisions mean a faster reaction. In my investigation I will need to use a gas syringe, a conical flask, a measuring cylinder, a stopwatch, marble chips and 0.5, 0.75, 1.25, 1.5 and 2.0 acid concentrations. This is how I am going to use this apparatus;...
