Aim To investigate this difference that different concentrations of Thiosulphate make on the speed of the reaction between Thiosulphate and Hydrochloric acid. Equation Na2S2O3 (aq) + 2HCL (aq) 2NaCl (aq) + S(s) + SO2 (g) + H2O Safety Precaution I must make sure that I do not touch the acid and this is irritant and dangerous for the skin. In addition, goggles must be worn to ensure that not acid gets into the eyes. Equipment * Goggles - to protect eyes from acid * Science overall - to protect clothes from spillages * 3 Burettes - one for each substance this is used to accurately measure the volume of the substances used * 2 measuring beakers to pour the acids into the conical flask easily. * 1 conical flask for each experiment * 1 cross on a sheet of paper so when the solution has reacted the cross is no longer visible * Stop watch to time precisely the time taken...
