How does changing the temprature effect the rate of a chemical reaction? My experiment will involve heating a test tube of sodium thiosuulphate and hydrocloric acid. A bunsen burner and a water bath will be used to heat the two chemicals. The bunsen burner will be on a heat proof mat and we will also wear goggles for saftey. The person that looks down the flask and stops the clock each time will be the same. The same equipment for carrying each chemicals will also be used for fairness, my prediction is that the hotter the two chemicals are, the quicker the reaction will happen. With more heat the particles will move around more, causing a faster reaction.
