Catalase investigation Aim: How catalase affects the speed of breakdown of hydrogen peroxide. Introduction: Enzymes are biological catalysts in a way like protein molecules and also they make the rate of reaction increase that occurs in a living organism. "A catalyst is a substance that increases the rate of reaction" while also it doesn't get used up in this process and it is found in our liver. In this experiment the catalyse which is hydrogen peroxide can be used again and again in order for the increase of "rate of conversions of the reactants into products".
