Antony Jones How can we increase the rate of reaction between Sodium Thiosulphate and Hydrochloric Acid Aim To find out the effect on the rate of a reaction with Thiosulphate and hydrochloric acid ant different concentrations Prediction I predict that the lower the concentration the longer it will take for the reaction to take place this is because the will be less particles in the acid so they will collide less often and as the collision theory the particles can only react if the collide with enough energy. The higher concentration will have more particles and will collide more often so the reaction will be much quicker. High / low Concentration Scientific Knowledge The Experiment is based on rates or reaction -The Kinetic Theory four main factors affect the rate of reaction, Temperature, concentration, surface area and using a catalyst.
