Classwork 20th December 2003 G.C.S.E Science Coursework How Does Temperature affect the Rate of a Reaction? Introduction In this Investigation, I am trying to find out how Temperature affects the Rate of a Reaction. I plan to change the temperature of an Acid, but still using the same amount of concentration, and I will record how long it takes the different Acid temperatures to react with 1cm of Magnesium Ribbon. Method In my experiment I will firstly set up my apparatus / equipment. I am going to use 1.0 mol dm-3 as the concentration of the Hydrochloric Acid. 1cm of Magnesium Ribbon, and 20cm3 Hydrochloric Acid. In my Experiment I will record how long it takes for the Acid (which will be at different temperatures) to react with the Magnesium Ribbon.
