Daniel Sieradzan GCSE Chemistry Coursework- Rates of Reaction Aim My aim is to investigate the relationship between the concentration and the rate of reaction, i.e. how does it affect it. The chemicals used will be Sodium Thiosulphate, and dilute Hydrochloric acid. Hypothesis From the scientific knowledge that I have gained, I will state my hypothesis. I believe that the higher the concentration, the faster the reaction will occur. I expect my graph to look somewhat like this: From this diagram we can clearly see that as the concentration increases, so does the rate of reaction. However if we look at the line, we can see that at a certain point it still increases but at a lower rate. I believe this is due to the fact that there won't be enough molecules to react with, and so a change in the concentration at that point won't make much difference.
