SCIENCE COURSEWORK CHEMISTRY For my experiment I am going to attempt to observe the reaction between sodium thiosulphate and hydrochloric acid. What is the aim of my experiment? The aim of my experiment is to measure the rates of reaction What do we mean by the term 'rate of reaction'? The term rate of reaction means the amount of product and the time it reacts in. So the amount of product formed divided by the time taken. In our experiment we cant find out the amount of sulphur that is created in the time. However the amount of sulphur made is constant so the rate is proportional to one over time. I use the formula Rate= K K= constant Time This graph demonstrates the formula of one over time Things that might affect the reaction? Temperature will affect the reaction as the higher the temperature the more the particles will move around. Which in turn means the more the particles will...
