Science Investigation - Basic Rate of Reaction? Sally Emery Aim: The aim of this investigation is to find out what concentration best allows the hydrogen peroxide to be digested by the enzymes in the liver solution. Prediction: The factors that will affect the rate of a reaction are:> The temperature at which the experiment is carried out.> The surface area of the substance being digested.> The concentration of the hydrogen peroxide to water.> Whether or not catalysts are present. I will be investigating the concentration of the hydrogen peroxide to water. I will use the following concentrations: Hydrogen Peroxide (ml) Water (ml) Total (ml) Experiment 1 20 0 20 Experiment 2 16 4 20 Experiment 3 12 8 20 Experiment 4 8 12 20 Experiment 5 4 16 20 Experiment 6 0 20 20 I predict that the higher the concentration of hydrogen peroxide used the quicker the enzymes will work in the liver solution to digest the hydrogen peroxide. Therefore I predict that experiment 1 will work the quickest as there is 100% hydrogen peroxide being...
