Chemistry Coursework Factors affecting the rate at which a Mouthwash tablet reacts with water. Situation I am going to investigate the factors that affect the rate of the dissolving of a mouthwash tablet. These factors are: - Stirring Temperature Surface Area However, some of these will be more useful than each other. If you were to use stirring as the factor, it would not be that useful as you would only get two results, these would be one from stirring and one from not. Then with the Surface Area you get abnormalities, as this factor would be difficult to test. There for I shall choose temperature as the factor to investigate the rate at which it takes to dissolve mouthwash tablets.
