Factors affecting rate of reaction We are trying to investigate the factors affecting the rate of reaction between thiosulphate and hydrochloric acid Apparatus 1st experiment Changing the amounts of sodium thiosulphate and water 2nd experiment Changing the temperature Method We conducted two experiments to see what factors affect the rate of reaction. We drew a cross on paper and placed it underneath the beaker then we mixed sodium thiosulphate, water and hydrochloric acid together in the beaker and started the stopwatch. When we could not see the cross we stopped the stopwatch and recorded the results. On our first experiment we varied the amount of water and sodium thiosulphate but kept the same amount of hydrochloric acid in every time (5ml). On our second experiment we keep the same amount of water, sodium thiosulphate and hydrochloric acid in but we changed the temperature of the solution. Prediction I predict that when we put less water in the reaction will happen faster this...
