TIMING REACTION SPEEDS EXPERIMENT: CAN TEMPERATURE CHANGE THE REACTION TIME OF SOMETHING? PLANNING INTRODUCTION; I am going to investigate the effect of varying the concentration of Sodium Thiosulphate in a reaction with Hydrochloric Acid. I already know that when I combine these two substances they will become misty and cloudy. I am going to do the experiment in different temperatures and see if the reaction speed changes. To know when the experiment is finished I will draw a cross under the glass conical and wait until is has disappeared. I have chosen this reaction because it has a definite end point, when the cross on the paper disappears. SAFETY AND FAIRNESS: I will make sure the test is fair by using the same amount of hydrochloric acid and thiosulphate in each experiment, and by using the same sized equipment, if not the same.
