Introduction: In this experiment my aim is to examine the various concentration effects on the rate of reaction between thiosulphate and hydrochloric acid. To do this I will repeat the experiment a number of times using different concentrations hydrochloric acid, and look on how this of effects the rate of reaction. Prediction: I predict that the higher concentration used in the experiments the quicker the reaction will be. With high concentrations of hydrochloric acid, the rate of reaction will be fast this is because according to the collision theory the more you increase the concentration of a substance the amount collisions increase. If the hydrochloric acid solution is made more concentrated it means there are more particles of the reactant colliding. The collision's between the thiosulphate and the hydrochloric acid particles becomes more likely and in turn will speed up the reaction process.
