Richard Gravells Science Coursework - Chemistry March 2002 Effects of Temperature on the rate of reaction Obtaining Evidence I set up the experiment as it had been mentioned in the plan and I took the following results. I laid out the table with six lines down and five columns going across. In the across columns I used target temperature, time (minutes and seconds), time (seconds) and rate (collisions per second). The time was included in the table to measure how long it took across to disappear, under the changing solution from clear to cloudy. I put in the actual temperature next to the target temperature to show that, if there was any error on the graphs it could be blamed on the temperature not being accurate so that is the reason this was included. The rate (collisions per second) is worked out by the simple formula: rate = 8 grams divided by time....
