Planning sheet Name: Tom Bewick Teacher:mrs Dumbill set: 1A Different factors affecting the rate of reaction between: Sodium thiosulphate + hydrochloric acid • Temperature • Concentration • A catalyst These three variables will have an effect on the rate of reaction between these two chemicals. I will be investigating the effect Temperature will have on the reaction. I have decided to use temperature as my variable, as it is an independent, continuos variable and easy to measure using a thermometer also I can plot it well on a graph, this will give me good results an a good graph so I can analyze thoroughly. When you change your factor, predict the effect this will have on the speed of the chemical reaction. I predict that the rate of the reaction will be directly proportional to the temperature. When the temperature increases the time taken to react will be shorter therefore the rate of reaction will increase. I predict that if...
