Decomposition of Hydrogen Peroxide Aim The aim of my experiment is to find out how changing the mass or the amount of the catalyst can affect the rate at which hydrogen peroxide decomposes. Plan I am first of all going to set up the apparatus as follows: Method * WEAR SAFETY SPECTACLES! * CLEAN HANDS AFTER USING CHEMICALS! * CLEAN WATER OF FLOOR AFTER FILLING BURETTE! I am going to find out that how much of an affect varying the amount of catalyst will have on the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide. The catalyst I am going to use is called Manganese Dioxide. To do this experiment I am going to use five different amounts of the Manganese Dioxide with the Hydrogen Peroxide: 0.2g, 0.4g, 0.6g, 0.8g and 1g. I am going to use these amounts because when I did the preliminary experiment; I found out that these measurements are easier to measure than trying to measure...
