By Marco Eman Prediction In this investigation I predict that as we increase the concentration of the compounds the rate of the reaction is going to increase. This is because: Collision theory: A reaction takes place when a successful collision happens. For a successful collision the atoms must have enough activation energy to react. Increasing the concentration, we will have more particles in a smaller volume. This will affect the rate of the reaction by having more successful collisions in a smaller volume. In this experiment we are going to use as constants: A) Surface area. B) Temperature. C) Volume. D) Mass. E) (No Catalysts). Fair test To make this a fair test I will only use one variable and keep all the other factors which can affect the rate of the reaction constant. I will also make three times the experiment to make an average of the 3 results, this will make the results more reliable. The variable will be the concentration of a substance:...
