Chemistry Investigation the rate of Reaction ? between Acid and Marble Chips Aim My aim of this investigation is that I need to find how different kinds of marble chips (mini, mega and maxi) affect the rate of reaction in an experiment. Method To start the experiment off you will need to obtain the following apparatus: 1 conical flask 1 gas syringe 1 cork Dilute HCL (2 molars) Marble Chips in the following sizes: Mini Mega Maxi 1 timer 1 measuring cylinder 1 spatula 1 tweezers 1 wet towel 1 rubber tubing 1 boss clamp Then you need to collect 40 cm³ of dilute HCL using the measuring cylinder. Then pour the 40cm³ of HCL in to the conical flask attached to the gas syringe by the rubber tubing then adding 2 grams of (whatever sized) marble chips, then as the cork is put on you start timing and measuring every 15 seconds the volume of gas produced using the gas syringe as this will measure...
