Analysing the affect of different concentrations on the rate of reaction Chemicals, potassium peroxodisulphate and potassium iodide, were mixed together. They were both clear solutions and when mixed remained clear at first but then suddenly a blue/black colour rapidly spread within the mixture until all the mixture had turned black. I am going to measure out peroxodisulphate ions and water which will be the effectors, in the experiment, of the rate of reaction. By changing the common factor I found out that it did affect the rate if reaction. Aim The aim of this investigation is to study how changing the concentration of potassium peroxodisulphate solution will change the rate if reaction. Potassium Peroxodisulphate + Potassium iodide ?
