Daniel Mckenna Chemistry Coursework Mr. Harry An investigation to determine the effect of temperature on the rate of reaction In the following investigation I plan to see how changing temperature affects the rate of a chemical reaction. Temperature usually speeds up reactions meaning they will occur quicker therefore doubling the reaction time if raised by only 10°c. When reactions take place at higher temperatures they normally occur faster. Many reactions will take place twice as fast with just 10°c rise in temperature. Concentration of a solution is also known to double reaction speeds.
