An Investigation into how the concentration of a solution affects the rate of a reaction Background Knowledge I know of a way that the concentration of a solution affects the rate of a reaction. When putting dirty clothes to the wash, the more tablets you us the higher the concentration which means the stains are removed quicker. The concentrated sped up the reaction. Plan I am going to investigate the reaction below: The same person is going to take the time and the same person is going to check each time when the X cannot be seen. Predictions I would predict to find that the more water that is added would mean a lower concentration, which would mean a slower reaction. This means the higher the concentration of Sodium thiosulphate would mean the reaction would be faster. This is because the more concentrated a solution, the more particles are colliding.
